Amber and her team come to you, and your practice learns together, in the surgeries where the work will actually be done.

CPD // Fourteen hours verifiable
Fee // £12,000, plus travel and accommodation billed at cost

Two smaller practices under the same ownership may be trained together within a single booking.

Why bring the training to you
Bringing the training into the practice means the whole team learns the same protocols at the same time, on the same materials, in the surgeries where they work. The nurses also learn the setups alongside the clinicians. Local dental labs are also welcome. This is the best way to align a whole team at the same time.
It also means the teaching is built around what your team actually treats. Your equipment, your surgeries, your cases and your patients.
For a practice owner, the result is a team working to one philosophy rather than several, which is the foundation everything else rests on.
Two Days
How this supports therapist-led care
The two days are not a therapist-led care course. What they do is put in place the two things a therapist-led model depends on.
The first is a single set of objective clinical criteria. When the dentist and the therapist read the same tooth the same way, the decision about who treats it stops being a matter of opinion.
The second is the communication that carries it: between therapist and dentist when a case moves across, and between the team and the patient, so the message does not change.
Both are built into the training rather than added afterwards.
Working this way at The Gentle Touch since January 2025 has produced a 72.1% reduction in dentist check-ups, 429 hours of dentist time released across the year, a 23.6% increase in indirect restorations per clinical day and a 27.3% increase in practice-wide income per clinical day. Those are live figures rather than projections, and they are still growing as associate diaries mature.

Who is trained
The programme is built for the whole team at once, so the change is shared rather than sitting with two or three people.
Associate Dentists
Learning the biomimetic approach to direct and indirect restoration.
Dental therapists
Working within the same philosophy to the full scope of their training, with the confidence to lead the care themselves.
Nursing teams
Trained alongside by Amber’s own lead dental nurse, so the nursing support matches the clinical change.
Laboratory technicians
Welcome to observe on day two.

The team who come to you
The team is kept deliberately small to keep the cost down.
- Amber, leading the clinical teaching across both days.
- Matthew Aplin, Operations Director, handling logistics so the days run properly.
- An associate dentist from The Gentle Touch.
- One dental therapist, so your therapy team sees the clinical thinking demonstrated by a peer.
- One dental nurse, training your nursing team in parallel.
Equipment and industry partners
Everything the hands-on days need is brought with us: the extracted teeth, all the materials and the equipment, including NSK handpieces. Your team trains on the right kit without you sourcing a thing.
Industry partners attend to support the practical sessions and answer questions directly. Kuraray and AquaCare attend, with Ultradent usually joining as well.

What the fee includes
- All training content and delivery across both days.
- Detailed handbooks for every member of the team, and fourteen hours of CPD.
- Patient communication materials, so the team explains the approach consistently.
- A filmed example of a therapist-led care appointment at The Gentle Touch, for the practice to keep.
- Follow-up support by direct WhatsApp from Amber and her lead nurse, so the questions that surface once you are back in normal clinic get answered quickly.
- The cost of the visiting team’s time away from their own practice, including weekend overtime.
What we need from you
Because the clinical kit travels with us, there is very little required at your end.
- A teaching space large enough for the team to work together, with a screen or large monitor.
- Bench space and power for the hands-on stations.
- For live observation, a surgery with a microscope and screen, and one patient per day: an upper class II composite on day one, and an upper onlay or overlay preparation on day two. Where that is not practical, recorded clinical cases are used instead.
- Your team released across both days, so everyone takes part together.
- Lunch on both days

Fees and Terms
Professional fee, two days // £12,000
Travel and accommodation // billed at cost, quoted before you commit
- A 50% deposit secures your chosen dates.
- Travel and accommodation are paid at the time of booking, with receipts provided.
- The balance is settled six weeks before the training.
Travel and accommodation are billed at cost rather than as a fixed charge. Once dates are agreed we book well in advance to keep the cost down, and you receive a quote before committing, along with receipts.
